The collapse of 'Dogma' dominated the metal scene in recent months, as public allegations, sudden lineup changes and deep internal conflicts exposed a project that many fans feared was no longer controlled by its own musicians. Out of that chaos has now come a new band built by the artists who originally shaped Dogma’s sound and identity.

On December 4, they announced their new project:

VindictA.

The lineup unites Grace Jane Pasturini on vocals, Amber Maldonado and Patri Grief on guitars, and Álvaro Rabaquino handling songwriting and production. Together, they are reclaiming the music and creative direction they say was lost in Dogma’s final phase.

Their debut single, “The Face of the Clown,” arrived alongside the announcement. The track hits harder and feels more emotionally focused than Dogma’s recent output. Grace delivers one of her strongest performances, while Rabaquino brings back the dramatic, atmospheric production style that initially drew fans to the original project.

The turmoil behind Dogma’s downfall centered on claims of restrictive contracts, management control over the band’s image and finances, and creative decisions made without input from the performers. Rabaquino later confirmed that he was pushed out of the project despite being its founding songwriter.

VindictA’s launch also included a few surprises. Their YouTube channel dates back to 2020, suggesting that this creative identity may have existed long before Dogma unraveled. Promoters who recently canceled Dogma’s shows have hinted that VindictA may take their place on festival lineups in 2026.

As for Dogma, the brand may continue, but with the original team and core performers now moving forward under VindictA, many fans see this new band as the true continuation of the music they loved.

VindictA’s emergence marks a fresh start, powered by full artistic freedom, unity and a sound that feels far more authentic than what Dogma had become.
