'Epica' have confirmed that their planned Asian tour for early December 2025 will not go ahead as scheduled. The symphonic metal group announced that all dates have been moved to September 2026 following a series of health issues affecting vocalist Simone Simons.

In a statement shared across their social media channels on Tuesday, November 11, the band wrote: “With deep regret, we must inform you that our upcoming Asian Tour has been rescheduled for September 2026. After experiencing several health complications, doctors have advised Simone not to tour for the remainder of the year. As painful as this decision is, her health must come first. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.”
Fans who already purchased tickets will not lose them, as all passes will remain valid for the new dates once they are officially revealed.
Simone Simons, who has been balancing her commitments with 'Epica' while promoting her debut solo album Vermillion (released in August 2024 and created alongside longtime collaborator Arjen Lucassen of Ayreon), is expected to rest and fully recover before the band returns to the road.
Earlier this year, 'Epica' released their ninth studio album Aspiral through Nuclear Blast Records. The album’s concept was inspired by a 1965 bronze sculpture by Polish artist Stanisław Szukalski, a piece representing renewal, creativity and transformation themes that have remained central to the band throughout 2025.
'Epica' have now confirmed their updated Asian tour plans for 2026:
Sep. 14 – Tokyo, JP
Sep. 15 – Osaka, JP
Sep. 17 – Shenzhen, CN
Sep. 18 – Guangzhou, CN
Sep. 20 – Beijing, CN
Sep. 22 – Shanghai, CN
