Another heavyweight returning to Wacken is 'Saxon', who were forced to withdraw from the 2025 lineup for health reasons but are now set to come back stronger than ever. Fans can expect a triumphant show from one of Britain’s most respected classic metal bands.
Also confirmed are the beloved metal dinosaurs 'Heavysaurus', ready once again to deliver their family-friendly blend of fun, fantasy and early musical education for younger fans. Meanwhile, neoclassical virtuoso Yngwie Malmsteen will showcase his trademark technical wizardry, unleashing blistering solos and lightning-fast arpeggios that are sure to leave audiences stunned.
The announcement also includes a particularly emotional moment on the horizon: 'Rose Tattoo' will perform in Wacken as part of their Farewell Tour, marking one of the final opportunities to witness these rock and roll icons on stage.
Beyond the headliners and standout appearances, the new wave of confirmed artists includes an enormous list spanning multiple genres within the metal world.
From legendary names to rising stars, from neoclassical shredders to hardcore icons, the 2026 edition is shaping up to be one of the broadest and most ambitious in the festival’s long history.
